Founded by Ron and Denise Provenzano back in 1985, ZANO has always been family owned and operated. 25 years later, we’re proud to say our sons are now involved in the business too.

What’s more, we work hard to make sure our sense of “family” extends through to our dedicated staff and our loyal guests. We have a remarkably low turnover rate among both our staff and our customers. In this ever-changing world we live in, it’s nice to know there are things you can count on – like ZANO.

We continuously research the latest styles, techniques and technologies, to keep us one step ahead of the trends. Whether it’s our new CND Shellac Manicure or the latest in Hollywood hair styles, you can be sure that at ZANO, you’re getting only the best.

That extends to our professionals, as well. Our new hires all start with our internship program, where they receive up to nine months of training and immersion in the ZANO culture. Each intern works with a mentor who guides the intern’s growth and development. As the intern gains skills, they gradually work with more and more guests, at a reduced price, allowing them to both build their experience and clientele.

We’ve found that our guests appreciate this intern program. It’s more than just a way to keep our staff at the highest level of expertise; it’s also a way for our guests to feel like they’re involved in something worthwhile.

Perhaps most important to us, we take our role as a community leader seriously – both within the cosmetology industry and within our western suburbs as well.

Denise is on the board of Cosmetologists Chicago, the group that produces America’s Beauty Show. She’s also a member of the Professional Beauty Association and Intercoiffure, a non-profit organization with a global fashion focus.

Closer to home, we are members of both the Naperville Area and the Batavia Chambers of Commerce.

We prioritize the sharing of our time and donations. We’ve supported our local schools and churches, as well as deserving groups such as A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter and Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry. We also participate in “Salons Unite,” as we help them raise funds for ovarian cancer research.

This involvement is the heart of who we are. In fact, one of our favorite testimonials came from a long-time ZANO guest: “I come to ZANO because you give back to the community.”
