This season is momentous for many reasons, including dedicated time with family and many causes for celebrations. A new year brings feelings of renewal and change. This is why we see countless customers coming in for a new look. Whether it’s highlights, lowlights, or a completely different hair color and cut, the new year is a great time to try something different and amp up your style.
We have another amazing way to rejuvenate for the holidays and new year: a hydrolifting facial.
What Is Hydrolifting
Hydrolifting facials are one of the newest therapies for more glowing, hydrated, and youthful-looking skin. This is perfect for before a holiday work party, wedding, or NYE celebration where you know cameras will be on you – and with such glorious skin, why wouldn’t they be?
Hydrolifting gives customers the benefits of fillers without the scalpel. It’s meant to erase dull and sagging skin through the infusion of hydrolifting, skin-identical hyaluronic acid microdroplets into your face. The result is replenished, firm, plumped-out skin with a natural lift. The facial also helps promote increased hydrobalance and collagen-forming abilities.
How Does It Work?
Although it has five progressive steps, a hydrolifting facial begins similarly to a regular facial. After you’ve wrapped yourself in the given robe or cover-up and laid down on the table, the esthetician will usually wrap your hair in a towel. He or she will then cleanse your skin with esthetic wipes or sponges. Sometimes, a double-cleanse is preferred.
The esthetician will likely take a look at your skin under a bright magnifying lamp to identify the source of acne, blackheads, aging, sun damage, or dehydration. Depending on what skin type you have (normal, oily, dry, sensitive, or a combination), it will help the esthetician discern and recommend the best treatments for you. Next: steaming. Most – if not all – facials use a machine that sprays a thin layer of warm mist to your face. It’s not only relaxing, but helps loosen up blackheads and whiteheads to be removed.
The Hydrolifting Mask
Zano’s utilizes world-renowned product line G.M. Collins for its facial treatments, including hydrolifting. The hydrolift process is divided up into five steps:
- Hydrolifting fluid
- Restorative cream
- Toning mask
- Tensor concentrate
First, the esthetician will treat your face with an exfoliant. Proper exfoliation helps scrub off dead skin cells and promotes blood circulation to your face to achieve healthier, glowing skin. Next comes the hydrolifting fluid. The hydrolifting fluid is essential to hydrating your skin on a micro-level and encouraging elasticity. The restorative cream follows to allow the fluid to settle, further moisturizing your skin and preparing for the toner. The toning mask is left on for at least 10 minutes to activate the toning and collagen-boosting nutrients. A heated compress, such as a netted facial cloth, is then used to remove the mask and open up your pores. Lastly, the tensor concentrate is applied. The concentrate soaks into your skin to polish it and solidify the effects of the previous nourishments.
Who are Hydrolifting Facias For?
Basically: anyone! If you have mild to moderate sagging, under eye circles, or just overall lackluster skin, you could benefit from a hydrolifting facial. This is an anti-aging treatment, so if you’re younger, you probably won’t notice the benefits as much. But, you’re on the right track: it’s proven that starting an anti-aging regimen in your 20’s or 30’s is effective and helps your skin be more adaptable as years go by. The great thing is, if you don’t like it or don’t notice a difference, you can drop it for another skincare routine that works for you. Whichever you decide, staying consistent is key!
